The Artist’s Footprint

The first art lab course for school begins today to develop artistic and scientific works on the carbon footprint, which will be exhibited at the next edition of the Media Art Festival.

 

The first artist who will begin working with students is Matteo Nasini (Rome, 1976), a passionate electronic musician. The appointment is for today at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym Digital Manufacturing Lab (9:30-12:30 am) for 40 students from IIS Amaldi in Roma and IIS S. Pertini from Genzano.

 

Project “A carbon footprint through digital art: new didactic models to teach science” is financed by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research and promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, in collaboration with Sapienza University of Rome.

 

matteo-nasini-opera-vincitriceMatteo Nasini, who was born in Rome in 1976, graduated from the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia. From 2005 to 2008, he collaborated with the Orchestra Cherubini directed by Maestro Muti.

 

An eclectic artist, he has worked on a range of media, ranging from sound to installations. He won the Talent Prize 2016, the award dedicated to young artists by “Inside Art,” with “Sparkling Matter.”
