The BNL Media Art Festival, which will be held in Rome on April 13-17, 2016, is a project/event dedicated to the relationship between art and new technology. The objective is to create a reference point for the international scenario: not only in terms of exhibition, but also as a centre for production, research and debate with roundtables, conferences and labs.
The original idea of the Media Art Festival was developed last year by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale. The 2016 edition is coproduced with BNL – Group BNP Paribas. This joint production is a result of the convergent vision and values of the FMD and BNL focusing on change, innovation and the future.
In a changing world, art is change, too. It’s the desire to recount the present with an eye to the future. It’s the beauty produced by the meeting of vision and inspiration. It’s a spark that can generate infinite connections. BNL believes that art can arrive anywhere. It is only by sharing that great ideas can be transformed into the common good.
The collaboration with BNL – Group BNP Paribas was announced at the Maker Faire 2015 [see news More Maker Faire].
