Project ENLIGHT – European Light Expression Network, implemented as part of the Europa Creativa Programme, welcomes its first artist in residence.
Tobias Daemgen arrives in Rome, today, for his first week of work at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym. The artist will also return in December and January.
The project aims to develop new audiences for visual arts addressing light from a vast multidisciplinary point of view. Project ENLIGHT will used the “artists in residence” format to associate the brand with high quality experiences and innovative light art works. This is a new field that requires further attention from the world of art and culture, in general.
Tobias Daemgen was born in 1980 in Braunschweig, Germany. He studied Communication Design at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences. In 2007, he cofounded the RaumZeitPiraten Artists’ Network together with Moritz Ellerich.
