The 2017 edition of the Media Art Festival will feature school labs to conceive, design and develop collaborative art works with artists. Last Friday, the first lab was held at the Istituto comprensivo Luigi Settembrini with artist Silvia De Gennaro. Prof. Maria Moschetta coordinates the initiative.
Tomorrow, the Istituto comprensivo Tullia Zevi will also hold its first lab with artist Paolo Gatti. The school project coordinator is Professor Daniela Corallo.
The works produced by students will be exhibited at the Maxxi for the Media Art Festival (April 27-29, 2017).
The Artist
Silvia De Gennaro lives and works in Rome. In 1999, she co-founded the Assaus Studio Lab and has been involved in digital art, video art and animation for over fifteen years.
Her works have participated in numerous video art and film festival around the world, obtaining prestigious recognition. Silvia currently produces social and political videos and is working on a project on the city and perception of the traveller entitled “Travel Notebooks.”
