The Call4Artists for the 2017 edition of the Rome Media Art Festival is now on-line: www.mediartfestival.org
Following the success of the previous edition, Fondazione Mondo Digitale presents the 2017 Rome Media Art Festival of Digital Arts.
Does a complex technological society modify the concept of humanity and human being? How do we relate to continuous technological progress? There are the open questions that will be posed by the new edition of the Rome Media Art Festival di Roma on “Paths Towards Human Sustainability.”
Each artist may present a maximum of two projects in four categories: installations, video-art, performance and sound art. Submission is free.
A committee of experts (that will be announced before the call deadline) will select the proposals. The jury reserves the right to select works based on feasibility, innovation, originality and adherence to the focus of the 2017 edition.
Artists who present a project in the “installation” category must specify if they have all the materials necessary for the development of their project. Otherwise, the Festival Organisational Committee will verify the feasibility of the work on the basis of the costs, materials and necessary exhibit space.
Authors of individual works are the exclusive holders of all the rights and guarantee that the work is original. Participating in the open call, they accept that their works will be temporarily showcased by the Festival (until December 30, 2016)
