Simone Pappalardo graduated with honours in electric music at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia of Rome. For some years he creates electronic compositions, interactive sound installations and “increased” music tools. His works have been performed and have been held in various international festival: Huddersfield contemporary music festival, Beijing Conservatory for the Festival Musicacoustica, Sound and Music conference 2016 Hamburg, Irish sound science and technologies association festival in Derry 2016, Ars Eelctronica in Linz 2016, Romanian Academy, American Academy during various editions of the Nuova Consonanza Festival, Macro Museum Muse of Rome, Globe theatre of Buenos Aires, Artefiera in Bologna, Festival cinque giornate of Milan, Emufest, Collection Manzù Museum of Ardea, Auditorium parco della musica of Rome, Biennial of Young Artists of the Mediterranean in Athens, on several occasions ar MAXXI Museum in Rome, for Digital Life festival of Romaeuropa foundation, Media art festival, etc.. He was in residence at Berlin Goethe Institute. With his composition “hyde. per pianoforte sollecitato da impulsi elettromagnetici” won a special mention at National Arts Award. With the installation “Murmur. LC librans” won the prize of Media art festival at Rome MAXXI Museum.
