The appointment with the original format of the BNL Media Art Festival Project/Event promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale in collaboration with BNL – Group BNP Paribas, will be held in Rome on April 13-17.
The initiative, which brings together lectures, installations and a congress of international experts with didactic tracks for students, is an absolute novelty on the Italian panorama. It is a “wide spread” lab for artistic productions that entices students towards a creative, innovative and active use of technology. During the five days of the festival, media art will be present throughout the city of Rome at important, international sites:
- MAXXI – National Museum of 21st Century Art
- Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MIBACT)
- Phyrtual Innovation Gym, Fondazione Mondo Digitale
- Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA)
- Quasar Design University
- Goethe Institut Rome
- Chilean Embassy
- Spanish Academy
Based on the peculiarities of the individual works, the jury – composed by Bruno Di Marino, Silvia Bordini, Marco Maria Gazzano, Ida Gerosa and Maurizio Marco Tozzi – will select the best location for each work.
The ground floor of the MAXXI will host the works developed by the 13 artists that are collaborating with schools in Rome, Naples and Milan.
